Wooooo, I'm feeling good this morning, besides the fact I'm a little sick with a cold, listening to some good music makes any morning. Into the Wild, a book adaptation about the true story of Chris McCandless who after graduating in 1990 with high grades from Emory University decided to ceased communicating with his family, give away his savings of approximately $25,000 to Oxfam and begin traveling, later abandoning his car, all to someday arrive to Alaska. I watched this with my love via phone as I have with all the movies I've talked about on here, and we began talking about his decision of leaving the society he grew up with. She said his reasons for leaving were stupid and I can agree. But I also think its an admirable path to go by since its a path very few go. What do you guys think?

  8. I think there's better ways about heading into the wild than the way he did, I can go do the same thing but I'd leave much more prepared

  11. So he went completely non materialistic and away from society. He might as well become a Buddhist or something. I think society is a necessary pain with technology that makes life easier. Its not something to just toss away.

  12. Hm. I should watch it. I have also had times when I want to get away from the buzz, but only for some time. I think the human being is a social creature by nature. But sounds something I would wanna watch and think about.
